WWE 2K15

WWE 2K15 took a few steps forward but a lot of steps back. It upgraded to next gen but was stripped of a lot of things that made WWE games stand out so much. Not to panic tho as NBA 2K14 did the same thing and 2K15 is one of the best. So high expectation on WWE 2K16 but this is about 2K15. One of the highlights for me in this game was that John Cena finally got his solo cover. Gameplay slowed down incredibly in this game and they added chain wrestling that gets frustrating after a while. The graphics and presentation is top notch where all the face scanned models looked life like but you can tell who didn’t get a face scan because they hardly look like their real life counter part. Also all the models have high cheek bones when they smile. But the game has its fun moments. WWE Universe mode lacks what it use to be and needs to get more attention by the developers. Some of the new moves added were great as well.

What’s New?

MyCareer mode… yeah… The mode is… fun? Sorta well… you do the same thing over and over and BARELY get any story lines. It’s suppose to be the life of an WWE superstar starting off in the performance center, then NXT, then WWE Superstars (not a brand though) but you can win the IC Title. Then to WWE Main Event (not a brand either) but you can win the US title. then finally make your way to Smackdown where you can earn the World Heavyweight Champion.  Of course this means you next step is Monday Night Raw and the WWE Championship. (Keep in mind the two major titles are now one in real life). Also you MyCareer superstar doesn’t talk and it just lacks life in the mode. Plus the lack of realism stuff kind of hurts it. I won the US title in a Elimination Chamber match… then got strip of the title because I didn’t want to defend it after getting the option to do so or not. False options isn’t fun. I won the NXT title lost it the next week because they made me defend it already. The only title I was able to keep the World Heavyweight Title and I have yet to be entered in a Royal Rumble Match.

2K Showcase The mode that saved the same. Relive two of the biggest feud in WWE history between CM Punk vs John Cena  from 2011-2013 dubbed Hustle, Loyalty, Disrespect and Triple H vs Shawn Michaels from 2002-2004 dubbed Best Friends, Bitter Enemies. This mode was a lot of fun and it brought back many memories hopefully this will be brought into the next WWE 2K’s from years to come.  DLC Showcase were featured the 1st one was the 2011 feud between Christian and Randy Orton dubbed One More Match, Hall of Pain which showcased Mark Henry’s road to the becoming World Heavyweight Champion and Path of Warrior a tribute to The Ultimate Warrior spotlighting his career moments.

The ability to edit the clothes from every Superstar on the roster. But it use up a create a superstar roster spot. Superstar Studio gives players the abilty to add pictures or any kind and import it into the game and to put it on their create a superstars.

Who Got NXT and Proving Ground Xbox 360/PS3 exclusive to replace MyCareer mode.

What’s Gone

(Next Gen Versions) Match types, a lot of match types were gone in this game. The 40 man Royal Rumble was gone, handicap matchs and the inferno match just to name a few. Also go from the Creative Suite is…Create-A-Special, Story Designer, Custom entrance music, Create-A-Championship, & Create-An-Arena. In Create-A-Superstar that’s back but has some limitations the biggest being that instead of being 100 superstars its been cut down to no not 50 but 25 like way back in the day. Paint tool has been replaced with Superstar studios (no complains about this however).
